Plan, analyze and develop design requirements for the Electromechanical and Cable Design portion of heavy transport vehicle or ground support systems. Oversee and perform design of wiring diagrams and electrical cable assemblies. Provide technical expertise for the design, layout, construction, integration, and/or construction of electrical/electronic systems using AS50881 & proven commercial practices as a guide. Requires knowledge of aircraft-type wiring, components such as connectors relays, switches, indicator lights and terminal junctions. Knowledge of automated wiring systems (HarnesSys/EIDS or equiv.) and computer-aided design systems (CADAM/CCD/CATIA) required. Prepare and review formal reports and conduct regular design reviews. Support off-site aging aircraft configuration studies and equipment installation liaison as required. Basic Qualifications: BS in engineering or equivalent plus nine years of related experience. Security clearance also required. Preferred Experience: Heavy Transport experience a plus. Note: Interim SECRET Clearance required. Extensive Wiring Integration exp.
