| Description |
Perform System Safety Engineering tasks as assigned. The candidate should be proficient in performing hazard analyses tasks on complex systems; this includes some knowledge of the following: laser safety, non-ionizing radiation safety and aircraft systems, both fixed wing and rotary. Must have working knowledge and experience with various safety standards to include MIL-STD-882 and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations, etc. Candidate should also be familiar with the following items/tasks: System Safety Program Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis, Operating & Support Hazard Analysis and Safety Assessment Report, etc. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and be proficient in technical report writing and the use of MS Office products. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering along with nine (9) to thirteen (13) years of relevant System Safety/Reliability Engineering work experience or seven (7) to eleven (11) years with Masters Degree. Candidate must attain a DoD Secret Interim Clearance prior to start. NOTE: Requires U.S. Citizenship & Interim Secret or SECRET Clearance. |
